First thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean this restaurant was... Really nice servers too. I like my waffles on the darker side and they made sure it was to my liking. The milk was nicely cold which paired well with the perfectly cooked waffle. I would recommend this location.

The food is okay. There are a couple items on the Waffle House menu that I love. This location, however, is very inconsistent. You never know if your food is going to come out great or just okay. The staff at this location are not very attentive. It is fairly clean, especially for a diner. The prices aren't bad.

This is a WAFFLE HOUSE! I mean what do you expect from a little yellow box that slings fried food all day long? The service is passable about 50 percent of the time, but the coffee is always fresh even though the cups are stained. Lets face it, if you can make it out of here without having to hit the bathroom, you have a cast iron stomach. The restaurant is generally clean and tidy. I appreciate that the tables are not sticky. I usually get eggs with cheese. I cannot resist when onions are added. They are one of the best things on the menu. The seem to struggle with over easy....The waffles are good though, The pecan waffles are like a decadent dessert.

This Waffle House does not have the former employee seal of approval. No, indeedy. This place was a hot mess in the bad way. Like the "Am I going to get food poisoning and the crabs from my waffle?" sort of way. Our server was wearing more food than our table ordered. The floors were gross. The tables were gross. They've seriously downsized their portions to keep up with food costs. Oh, and they messed up all three of our orders. Mine was so bad it had to be remade, while my dining companions rolled with theirs. (Jeff C., did you even notice that your order was wrong?) And honestly, y'all, I love Waffle House. I believe in their brand of shitty drunk food. It's amazing, and I think it should always be. But this is a sub-par location for even the majesty that is the yellow and black. No good. Accessibility notes: Two entry doors, both opening out. Low counter for people with mobility devices. No Braille menu or signage. Can get loud at peak hours.

How is this sketchy looking yellow boxed building so fast, so clean, so good?! These people know what they are doing thats how! With an open kitchen you can see them in action. I sit and watch in awe as the waitress yells out what seems like partial orders and in the end its all correct, all fresh, all hot. EVERY time. Even when I make modifications - and I always make modifications... As if the hashbrowns arent good enough... you can get them SMOTHERED COVERED CHUNKED DICED PEPPERED CAPPED TOPPED or go all the way. No way! Yes way...

This is a relatively new location having only been open a couple years. And I've been meaning to go but never quite got around to it. When Suzanne and Sky stopped by the house to have a laptop looked at and we decided to make a lunch run... And I wish I went back when it opened. Plenty of errors with the orders, a tiny Angus burger bacon cheese burger minus bacon, eggs where none were ordered, and hash browns where waffles should have been. Yeah. At least my lunch companions were delightful.

I've been going to Waffle Houses all over the MS Gulf Coast ever since my sister moved there in '05. Over there you can find a Waffle House every third blink of an eye on the beach (aka Hwy 90). That's the only place we go to for breakfast as there aren't many other breakfast options on the Coast. In New Orleans it is hard to find a Waffle House so I was ecstatic when I first noticed that they were building one next to the driving range I go to in St Rose. You know what makes Waffle House special: Their hashbrowns!! Ask any Waffle House aficionado what is the best thing on the menu and most everyone will say their hashbrowns. You can get them plain, with chili, with sausage gravy, with jalapenos, with mushrooms, with ham, and of course with cheese. Or if you're a daredevil you can order your hashbrowns ALL THE WAY which raises the bar even more because they throw ALL of the aforementioned toppings into it. Waffle House is like most other diners and breakfast places where you can order breakfast/lunch/or dinner anytime. They also have a dollar menu that has a few $1 items, $2 items, $3 items, and so forth. I would recommend the All-Star Breakfast if you're really hungry as it comes with a waffle, hashbrowns, eggs, toast, and either ham/bacon/or sausage. The service at Waffle House is usually very quick and they treat you like family. Another reason to love Waffle House: I hear their coffee is pretty darn great. I don't drink coffee or eat waffles so I can't comment on either but lots of people love their coffee and eat the waffles over here. Waffle House is an American breakfast institution. Try it sometime.

Love this place! The staff are very friendly. The place is nice and clean, I prefer this place over IHOP. The best part is no one really knows about this place so it doesn't get too crowded!

10 or more years ago, I traveled south to visit friends in the NOLA area and attend Jazzfest. It was my first trip to the area. As one of those "must do" events associated with a trip to the Deep South (as it seemed back then), my host (a northern transplant) insisted on the Waffle House visit. It was a "you have to see this place" kind of thing. My exposure to Waffle House at that point was the restaurant scenes in "Tin Cup". I was not impressed. My standard for breakfast restaurants was "Perkins" or Cracker Barrel. The dated appearance, my limited appreciation for "homey" restaurants, the grime, the old booths and the grease all left me wondering who in the world was going to these places. That was the last time I was in a Waffle House. When this new Waffle house opened next to the world's best driving range, I saw an opportunity to give the place another try at its best. So, Saturday morning, we skipped the instant oatmeal and visited. I was shocked. Clean, bright, even cheery. The staff was hustling, they practically took our drink order before we sat down. Apparently, there are a lot of regulars because our waitress tried to take our order before we even found the menu. My first impression of the menu - this place is cheap! A dollar for a large glass of orange juice? I don't care if they are running water over orange peels, that is a great price. We tried the standard stuff, eggs, toast, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, hash browns. Everything was good. Service hustles, turnover is obviously important. We were fed and out of there in less than 25 minutes. I didn't even time to finish the paper. Total bill (minus tip) was $10.17. I am totally impressed. I'm wondering now if this is typical of all the Waffle Houses. If so, they have certainly come a long way. Regardless, I'll be back to this one and I might even work up the nerve to try another one some day.

I love the St. Rose Waffle House. It's easy to get a great waffle and cup of coffee. Watching the short order cooks is a marvel. It's just fun, and a step back in time.
